Women and Youth Training for

. The Marshall Islands: Skills Training and Vocational Education Project Assesses the efficiency of the project and highlights lessons. of the Marshall Islands to focus on technical and professional education training reforms. In 2000, ADB authorized a loan for $9.1 million to improve abilities training to provide trained workers needed for continual financial and social development. The project consisted of 4 components: advancement of a career awareness program, abilities training improvement, enhanced skills training chances for ladies and youth, and institutional strengthening. The task was supply-driven and could not develop a strong linkage with private sector requirements or align its activities with the needs of the labour market. The status of the technical and professional education training system has remained essentially the same after project conclusion. The research study advanced that ADB could encourage the Government of the Marshall Islands, through consultation and policy dialogue, to follow through on the federal government's
