Waklert 150 is a wakefulness-promoting drug used to treat narcolepsy, sleep apnea, and shift work sleep disorder. It contains 150 mg of armodafinil. It often begins to function 30 to 60 minutes after oral ingestion, peaking around two hours later. Depending on a person's metabolism, age, liver function, and concomitant drugs, the alertness may persist for ten to twelve hours. In certain situations, waklert is recommended over modafinil because to its longer duration, which helps lessen excessive daytime drowsiness without producing a severe "jittery" feeling. It is advised to take it early in the day to prevent sleeplessness because the effects wane off gradually.
