If neither automatic nor manual repair works, there are some recovery methods that might help salvage your data. You can also take some preventive measures to avoid losing your work by automatically saving a backup copy of your workbook or creating a recovery file from time to time. Once you’ve installed the program, the home screen opens up, as shown in Figure 10.

Like many programs, Microsoft Office’s tools can be extended by third-party add-ons. You can try uninstalling or disabling any you’re aware of. Exactly how you do this will depend on the specific add-on.

A problematic OST file can also cause shared calendar synchronization problems. This happens because an inconsistent OST file fails to save the calendar data properly. On restarting, Outlook should download and synchronize all mail items, and you should see the updated shared calendar.

This is typically the person with admin permissions who set up your Microsoft 365 account for you. If you're not an Microsoft 365 admin, ask your workplace technical support to give your account name to you. If not, select Reset password below, troubleshooting microsoft 365 mail enter the username name for the account you're trying to reset, and select Next. For technical support, go to Contact Microsoft Support, enter your problem and select Get Help. If you still need help, select Contact Support to be routed to the best support option.

That’s good because that’s what you’ll try next. Note that it says "The app’s data will be deleted." This does not include your files. My spreadsheets will still be there no matter what. What a reset does is reset settings, history, and perhaps more that is specific to the configuration of the program. A recovery file of your workbook also helps ensure you'll have access to your data if your workbook is deleted accidentally or if it becomes corrupted.

Double-Check Username and PasswordMake sure you're using the right username (e.g., username@domain.onmicrosoft.com or username@yourcompany.com).Verify that your password is correct. If you suspect it might be incorrect, attempt a reset using your organization's password reset portal or contact your administrator.

Google Calendar may be working correctly, you’ve just not selected the calendar. If this doesn’t work, the only way to make it work is to use a third-party calendar automation tool like OneCal. Reconnecting imported calendars (Outlook, iCloud, or Google Calendars) using the Google Calendar app on your iPhone or iPad is not possible.

Microsoft recommends that you use roles with the fewest permissions. Using lower permissioned accounts helps improve security for your organization. If a damaged Outlook data file (OST) is the root cause behind the issue, you can recreate the OST file after taking a backup and deleting it from its default location. Often, the root cause lies in incorrect sharing permissions, where users might not have the appropriate access levels to view or edit calendar entries. Network hiccups or server problems can also disrupt the smooth flow of calendar data, leading to inconsistencies across different users’ views. When multiple users make changes to the calendar simultaneously, conflicts can occur.

You’ll see a dialog box like the one shown in Figure 9 open up and ask you to confirm installation. If you have any Office applications open, you’ll be asked to close them before the repairs can complete. On my test machine, for example, I had Outlook open. This provoked the request shown in Figure 4 (where, of course, I clicked Continue to close Outlook so repairs could work through to completion). A window opens to ask you if you’re ready to commence repairs.

To reset your password, you must select the "contact an administrator link" to send an email to your company's administrator and let them know you want to reset your password. This article is for people who set password expiration policy for a business, school, or nonprofit. To complete these steps, you need to sign in with your Microsoft 365 admin account. If you forgot your work or school password or have been locked out of your account, you can use your security info and your mobile device to reset your work or school password.
